Hermes, a Roman soldier, converted to Christianity and was martyred. When ordered to offer sacrifice to pagan gods, he refused, boldly proclaiming his faith in Jesus Christ. He was scourged, imprisoned, and ultimately beheaded for his unwavering belief. His sacrifice inspired many. Holy Martyr Hermes, pray for us, that we may be strong in our convictions and always faithful to our Lord!
