I am a crypto-confusedaboutit because nobody explains & just sends links to more links to more links that all end up saying it's great, gives a history about cash & why the value is dying, why you should buy & which is the best to buy.

What I want to know is a explanation of the protocols, how the blockchain ledger works, & where do any "gas fees" actually go? Someones collecting all the fees.
