It's too hot in Florida. Otherwise my sister would be wearing cloaks every day, by her own account.
They are versatile. You can roll it up and throw it over your shoulder when it gets too hot like aragorn does in lotr.

I guess wearing cloak over my shoulder 24/7 could be fashionable.
I made one from a military wool blanket and wore it most of the winter on our property. Never had the courage to go to the store in it though 🤷♂️
