Counterpoint: DNS… DNS and domain-wide blacklisting (or, even worse, domain whitelisting behind registration). This is one fragile aspect of Mastodon that I’d rather not see become a thing on Nostr. As long as relay operators resist the temptation to issue domain-level bans, I have no issue with it.

Or you can buy a domain like minecraftstr.com , and make a plugin for a popular game like #minecraft and allow players to register their own nip-05 in game with a verified playername@minecraftstr.com

But ya, just making the file manually is probably easier. 😆🤓😎

It looks like you found yourself an interesting project with this ;). Well done! Nostr has some interesting communities from things that I've played as a teenager (Starcraft, Runescape, etc). I never got into Minecraft, but I know several folks sthat learned a bit of coding, and Java in particular with it :)

It's basically digital Lego where you have to work/Mine resources and there 's some monsters etc. It's a sandbox game and uniquely able to be altered with plugins etc.. Mostly I wanted to integrate Bitcoin Lightning in a way never done in a game before and learn and expose my kids to Bitcoin in a fun way. You can see a video on Sovereigncraft.com to see the ways Lightning is integrated if curious.

NIP-05 was just a fun little add because it's cool to have alias registration with verified in-game character names

That’s what I do
