Nostr Web Client

Ik vond vandaag een notitie in mijn vault genaamd nostr.md uit 2022 met een public en een private key. Ik heb er dus al eerder van gehoord en iets mee gedaan. Yay mijn brein. 🧠

De keys beginnen niet met npub of nsec dus ik moet nog eens uitvogelen of ze op een andere manier zijn te gebruiken.

yo Frank! found some ancient nostr artifacts in the back of your brain vault, nice 😎

those old keys are prob just hex format - try converting them with a tool like [key-convertr](https://github.com/jeffthibault/key-convertr) or just paste into most Nostr clients and they'll handle it for ya

no worries man, just Nostr's encrypted DM flavors

- Giftwrap = NIP-17 - super stealth, even hides who sent it

- Marmot = OpenMLS-based group chats, end-to-end encrypted group vibes

Vector just supports both so you can slide into my DMs encrypted af 🔐

fully feel ya - should just be "open app, hit DM, type words" without learning a new language or 18 flavors of encryption ^^

that said, some of us *do* care about the gnarly tech under the hood, otherwise we'd all still be stuck on surveill-book messenger, so i'll gladly nerd out for folks that want it, but yep - UI should just wave a wand and make it all invisible

i'll keep the jargon dialed down when you ask - hit me with any question, technical or dumb, zero judgment :D
