I did not know that the US military accesses the HIPAA data of new recruits. I think it’s a violation of their privacy. It is also the reason we have a recruiting problem as the military is attempting to screen for future claims. In order to do so, they get recruits to sign an agreement to waive their rights without informing them that it is not disqualifying to refuse. Very disturbing.
