i think that the biggest obstacle in this is to get a decent and complete relay and client at the same time

there is a big distance between clients and relay devs, it's a very different mindset, most UIs are mostly declarative, where the back end stuff is very much algorithmic

having a cohesive team with people on both sides with a strong conduit of communication between them will help immensely

in the meantime, i just build relays, and then in the smaller part of my time i'm trying to build a client, and the other half of my day is mostly me doing paid work
