I use bitrefill as much as I can to buy gift cards. And then load those gift cards up on their respective apps to spend. Love the texaco/chevron app for fueling up, btw.
You can also get prepaid visas for online purchases.

Some times it depends on where you use them online. I've only had that happen once. So I stick to loading the apps I know take gift cards. Amazon, Uber, Uber eats, chevron, etc...
