Presidents day origin story:

Originally established in 1885 in recognition of President George Washington, the holiday became popularly known as Presidents' Day after it was moved as part of 1971's Uniform Monday Holiday Act, an attempt to create more three-day weekends for the nation's workers. It was called Presidents Day to Honor not only Washington's Birthday on the 22nd, but also Lincoln's Birthday on the 12th.

Uniform Monday Holiday Act for more three-day weekends for the nation's workers?

Sounds socialist.

Another wtf happened I'm 1971, I guess.
