I had a presentation today with a medium-sized bank board of directors.

They wanted some macro context for this unusual time, analogues to 1940s and fiscal dominance, etc.

And a number of them like the orange coin.

I’m not surprised. Federal Reserve doesn’t like their competition, and it’s questionable whether they get bailed out in hard times.

Hard times calls for hard money.
