Soup made from a whole chicken or a whole turkey carcass (like after Christmas & Thanksgiving) is the best. If it is a smoked chicken or turkey, It is even better.
I like to cook mine in a crockpot overnight, pull out the bones, and then add my spices and vegetables. All together it usually takes about 24 hours, but it is low maintenance, tasty, and healthy. When I put leftovers away in individual pyrex containers, it gels solid, so I know it has great bone broth with lots of natural gelatin. Mmm.
Yours looks great, but looking at it, I don't know how you get all of the bones out with vegetables already in the soup.
