A friend called me the other day because his dad wanted to invest in a new “Canadian government backed crypto”. Whatever that means.
He’s a successful man, not a dumb man, but he was ready and willing to “invest” in this fake coin. Which to the inexperienced boomer, is just synonymous with Bitcoin.
I said get your dad off Facebook before he loses your inheritance.

Very true. Boomers are particularly vulnerable to these kinds of scam, unfortunately, because they don’t understand Bitcoin and assume all cryptos are the same. It’s sad.
Good thing you were there to help your friend’s dad. Not everyone is so lucky.
