Have you heard about the latest environmental disaster electric cars are responsible for? Apparently the extra weight of the batteries is causing massive wear and tear on the tires. Normally tires can last from 50-75K miles, but with EVs they are only getting around 20% of that lifespan, and tires are wearing out in less than 2 years. These end up in landfills, or pollute the atmosphere when burned. Not to mention, drivers have to shell out thousands of dollars every time they need to be replaced.

Give Jason Williams a call, he’ll know what to do with all those tires! - https://www.prtitech.com/

I’ve tried to get nostr:npub1acxg0e5emvhju48aqu6ru0c8kczcy932jjseltjxl5t79q8rkl0qan9gne to use the Nostr more but I don’t think he gets it.

Not to mention all of the toxic micro-rubber particles that go everywhere.

Nobody thinks about the second order effects of their decisions.

Nope. And let’s just state the obvious as a reminder of why we shouldn’t listen to a single one of them:

These same geniuses who are telling us that we need to transition to cars that use electricity to save the planet are telling us that our powerful computers that use electricity are killing it.

Accurate as hell

Batteries are environmentally friendly!

Also, batteries:

Is that a mutant factory?

Someone should make a sci-fi movie about this. Lithium Man!

Toxic Avenger comes to mind.

Are those all virtual?

And the water consumption

🤭

Don't EVs just need different, stronger tires to combat the extra load?
