Using rams to mow the lawn
My lawn mower is broken so I decided to use our rams to graze down the grass in our back yard instead. They will probably have the job done in a couple days, then back into the sugar bush to keep the undergrowth down for next seasons maple sap collection.

After putting the rams on a couple mowing jobs, we moved them into the handling system for a while because one had developed a respiratory infection. We administered antibiotics and now it's back in good health. Now the rams can return to their summer paddock in the maple sugar bush.
Using them to eat down the grass in the yard while I was repairing the lawn mower was very helpful. It's got me thinking to try to use them to manage other areas around the homestead that are difficult to mow but too small for the main flock to graze.
