He was such a humble and austere man of God that when he was run over by a tram in 1926, people mistook him for a tramp and left him on the street for hours until he was taken to a pauper's ward of a local hospital and went without treatment until the attendant priest of La Sagrada Familia found him 3 days later. He unfortunately succumbed to his wombs and his funeral procession shut down Barcelona. He was a visionary of architecture and his plans are still being carried out today
