There’s nothing wrong with closed source. There’s nothing wrong with building good products. It just shouldn’t masquerade as “open source” or pretend they’re “for the people” when they have other motivations.

A world with many competing closed and open source models is what we want.

The big danger is not closed source, but regulatory bodies that emerge who become the arbiters of what is deemed “approved Ai” - and thus pigeonhole everyone into using only what they’ve approved.
