Software is becoming so abstracted it’s becoming really difficult to do anything but follow the hot path.
Deviate for one second and *boom* you’re met with a shit experience and denied the thing you needed to do.

I was thinking about something on both my phones though. 🤣 But it does happen across a *lot* of software. File paths are hidden and almost impossible to get at, advanced options are either buried or being flat removed from programs… it’s a kinda weird regression imo.

It makes me wonder, sure some abstraction can save time and improve productivity. But too much is like a prison. I miss the early 2000s, except we did have Bitcoin.
