So I just heard the gps spoofing was happening and that was a reason why planes were crashing. Def seems like an attack . The pilots are afraid since they can’t trust their instruments now

Could be but unlikely with the number of inputs that go into modern flight management systems. I realize I’m a tiny sample, but none of my pilot friends have a concern about this. Task complexity / mental saturation beyond your experience level remains the big threat and likely cause of accidents IMO.
