I would just buy sats for your trip and spend those. Keep your cold storage BTC protected by not moving it.
But the sats need storing somewhere, hence the hot wallet question.
Sats aren’t stored anywhere but the internet. Paper wallet might be what you really want.
They're stored on the block chain, not the Internet😜.
