The worst part about using voice as your main interface is that you can't listen to music at the same time.

Honestly, this keeps me typing more often than not.

my problem with it is that it feels a lot less private + harder to come back to it for a quick glance at something

I just saw your note and wanted to reply, but have nothing to say.

What are you using as the interface?

Gpt?

Different things. I'm mostly using Goose on macos these days and have it connected to OpenRouter so I can swap between different models. Using vibe-tools (cursor-tools) heavily as well so I can get the models running back and forth together more easily too.

The voice thing is just the standard macos dictation. Still have nostr:nprofile1qy28wue69uhnzv3h9cczuvpwxyargwpk8yhsz3rhwvaz7tmed3c8qarfxaj8s6mrw96kvef5dve8wdrsvve8vvehwamxx7rnwejnw6n0d3axu6t3w93kg7tfwechqutvv5ekc6ty9ehku6t0dchsqgrwg6zz9hahfftnsup23q3mnv5pdz46hpj4l2ktdpfu6rhpthhwjv0us2s2 's vibe-line project open in a tab, just have to find time to set it all up. Looks very promising.

Does running Goose mean you're running the LLMs locally, or in the cloud?

Cloud. I use open router. When I want local I use LMStudio

Would be nice if the audio (music) was just temporarily silenced when holding down the button to talk. That's how talking to Siri works while listening to music on an iPhone.

Yeah. It does work that way but the pausing sucks. Breaks the flow of the tunes.

Headphones, brother 😉

But yeah I understand; talking over music is worse than pausing a song every minute to spit out a prompt.

For me the reality is that talking out loud to anything other than a human (or maybe a mirror or a dog) still seems like a mental illness. Call me old fashioned! 😏

Sounds like you need to sing to your main interface 😉
