Nostr is a set of plain text files suggesting a single JSON blob structure and a set of implementation possibilities.
Nothing to do with a grand unified centralized ledger, distributed over an ad-hoc CDN, like Bitcoin.
Nothing to do with a token, like BTC.
Nothing to do with anything except the guy who developed it also developed some stuff for Bitcoin. Spin another one. You're just trying to claim Nostr iS BiTCoIN because before Zaps, your 15-year-old grand unified surveillance chain still didn't have a compelling use case.

The Nostr protocol is absolutely not based on Bitcoin.
It does use some of the same cryptographic functions, but that's just a technical detail.
Nostr isn't based on any blockchain at all. This is well documented.
I am not against Bitcoin myself, note. And I don't think it's accurate to say it isn't decentralized. And it's true that nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 writes about Bitcoin.
But, objectively, the Nostr protocol is not based on Bitcoin.
I never thought was based on boockchain when I made comparison with bitcoin, but yeap at that time (more than a year ago) didn't understood how nostr worked and the key thing deceived me 😅🤣
