The internet is the equivalent to the printing press, decentralizing access to information.
The printing press led to the Protestant Reformation, the internet led to #Bitcoin and Nostr.

Very interesting, you kind of lose me with the “internet is a fork of the Bitcoin” though.
I feel that Bitcoin is a natural progression from the creation of the Internet. You can’t have Bitcoin without the internet first.
The internet, in its most prominent form, is largely dependent on centralized entities like corporations, governments, and service providers. These entities can control data, access, and communication. Bitcoin as a decentralized fork creating a peer-to-peer network that functions outside traditional banking and government systems. Bitcoin is a break from that centralization.
While I agree that the internet in its current form is largely centrally controlled, I still feel that it is a powerful decentralizing force.
Prior to the internet we got our information from very limited sources and now we have far greater access to information. The internet and cryptography spawned the cypherpunk movement which led to Bitcoins creation.
I feel that Bitcoin is a continuation of the long trend of decentralization and disintermediation.
