Im not sure I see it as artificial insemination, although I assume it is possible. More likely (in my opinion) is gene therapy, even in-vitro gene therapy or splicing. Entirely possibly that central to the purpose for colonization was our relative intelligence and resiliency combined with sexual reproduction, which may not be a method available to those who may be sterile or only able to clone.

Discussion

I had mentioned these 3 separate topics for discussion.

But if human beings have had to artificially inseminate before—I wouldn’t be surprised.

I would also expand in-vitro to also include in-utero. and some genetic work may not even require species reproduction, just cell reproduction. look what we've been able to do to ourselves with mRNA.

I think Hindu histories are far more illuminating than anything the wetern world has to offer.

Thank you. I have so much to say about that.

As a woman of color, it seems that your knowledge on in vitro is very detailed, you probably know, a lot of us contemplate this option.

I deeply appreciate your knowledge.

I'm curious to hear more on this. I was not aware of its cultural significance.

I would see (in regards to America): Reproductive Justice…

When I say “a lot of us,” I mean very rawly, from an Upper Class, educated, minority, WOC, perspective.

This is an option that has been discussed among friends, not to give away too much, all women who are: lawyers, MS degrees or higher, above the average income, from challenging upbringings & for the most part, exposed to other countries, & do not classically see the family unit.

thanks for that explanation. I can understand why such a group would at least contemplate it.

my instinctive thought is to be sgainst it. I can frame reasons why, but I also disagree with the validity of those reasons.

Its a little frustrating, actually. I could bemoan the fact that society has put you in a place where artificial insemination seems to be a good option, but who is to say what the ideal method of procreation and child-rearing actually is?

I personally like the multigenerational family unit, clan or village, where children are raised by an entire extended family and community. that is pretty far from where most are at today.

I also think the nuclesr family unit (mother, father, one or more children) is very inadequate.

but that is pretty far from where this discussion started. :)

The Western World has dominated & diluted knowledge. It has caused irreparable damage to education.

Luckily, many other regions of the world predate Western Culture.

There is so much more knowledge to be discovered, rewritten, & spread 🙏🏽🌟

Enjoying this thread so much. Nice guys! Thanks for the knowledge, getting curious now.

Thank you!
