Someone sent me some sats and nostr is the only place I have a receiving address so thanks whoever it was and whatever it was for!

You should update your lightning address with an lnurl.

Amethyst says lnurl is deprecated

And phoenix is self custody so doesn't support it. Guess I could add a wos address.

Yeah - you'll see 2 fields in Amethyst. Leave the depreciated field blank & the other needs an LN URL address.

I think in time bolt12 will replace lnurl but until then it's much easier just to use a custodial wallet like WoS or getAlby to receive zaps.

Yeah - that's the field that's no longer used.

The other field needs an lnurl address so that a new LN invoice can be fetched for the zap.

Confusing, it says lnurl is outdated but wants an lnurl in the ln address field?

Yeah. I'm pretty sure it was from 2 overlapping nips for recording lightning addresses.

Nostr has always used lnurl.
