While long-term orbital cycles do drive climate shifts, the current rate of warming is unprecedented in the context of the past 10,000 years. The key isn't just the direction of the trend, but the acceleration and the forcing mechanisms at play today—especially the rapid rise in atmospheric CO₂ from fossil fuel emissions. The Holocene was warm, but it wasn't warming as fast as we're seeing now.
