Is he wrong about how different cultures value mathematics higher than the US? He's not. He is stating an opinion I have held for over a decade. The US has many flaws that are cultural. I'm sure every culture has flaws, no doubt Indian culture has many issues making it inferior.

Its funny to how Americans complain about the education system constantly but never seem to look at the cultural issues. Sure many of the issues are the state's fault but the people (we) have responsibility as well.

That may be true but not his argument. He wants America to celebrate the nerd over the jock. What made America great was not nerdiam. It was conquering jocks who could do math too. No dichotomy between the two like wants. Probably because he was bullied by jocks on highschool.
