In the age of AI, simulation theory matters more than ever. AI is, at its core, a machine for simulating reality. If we ourselves are part of a larger simulation, then our relationship to AI changes: we’re not creators standing above a tool, but one layer of simulation talking to another. That makes us less like masters of technology and more like its distant cousins.
