"Israel" is already wildly swollen beyond historical borders.
Historical Judah was approximately the area of metropolitan Yerushmalim.
Historical Yisrael was an ugly patch of scrubland to its north.
Exaggerated claims have been made in books, but neighbouring countries (who recorded the arrival of every trade caravan and dynastic squabbles in obscure city states) never found David or Solomon important enough to mention.
TBF the British never claimed India was part of historical Britian. Israel just want the land, and have the backing of the World's Super Power.
