There are also some relays that won't let me remove them they keep coming back...
Some of them are required for search otherwise nothing works. Make sure you have a NIP-50 compliant relay in your list.

Ah that makes sense, they were search relays. So as long as I keep one in there the app will be happy and not add any more?
just keep nostr.band or noswhere.com turned on for search (the app adds them automatically if you don't)
