So… a commune?

Is that what a commune means?

Yes. Shared living and resources, sometimes a community of multiple adjacent properties. Popular with hippies in the late 60s and early 70s and some are still operational according to Wikipedia

I like the idea of a group of people owning adjacent properties. Owning together would complicate things I suppose.

It is a good workaround to the land ceiling laws that exist here in India.

There's a limit to how much land someone can own in India, which is nonsense.

I suppose what I'm looking for is a situation where a group of people buy farms that border each other

nice in theory, hard in practice. i've had a few friends try to do this - it's not easy keeping everyone happy and aligned... seems to often descend into chaos and infighting 🙈

Well then I suppose the next best alternative is to buy farms next to each other

yeah maybe! governance seems to be an underrated / underappreciated topic in the #ANCAP / #REBEL / NewWaysOfBeing communities ☺️
