Really disappointing. They could have and still can, mind you, have used lightning. Issue is how to create a self-custodial wallet... Can't really, but maybe through ecash now. Or some wallet connect to custodial app that way they remain with no custody of any data/money.

At least we have NOSTR which I'd rather we all switch to for messaging. We are getting there!
