If you check it 40 years back, and calculate the size reduction together with the price increase you'll get something over the the thousands.
From 0.5 to 8 in 40 years. That already 1,600% inflation.
Plus a reduction of 40%, which equates to an increase of 66,66% in price. (100%/60%)
Multiplying both (1,600×1.6666) and we'll get 2,666.67% inflation in 40 years on the BigMac alone.
