Being fat adapted and backpacking with just jerky is the minimalist hack. No stupid jetboil or propane canisters. No overpriced over-processed dehydrated food bags. Lighter pack with more space I throw in a fishing pole setup instead.

I understand and agree. However, I still bring the single burner with me to make “jerky soup”. Jerky chopped up with anything I can forage. Watercress, pine nuts, etc. A hot meal on a cold morning feels so good 😊
