Congratulations. I had to make the same decision. For professional reasons, I decided to keep my account of 15 years in existence so I could still contact people directly, but I never post or reply publicly anymore. I discovered a way to publish all of my Nostr posts on my Twitter account, so that’s all anyone sees there. If you go ahead with deletion, you should at least download your full backup in case you want access to your old content.
