The client is always right is a shitty slogan when in reality the client (b2b) is rarely right. Most businesses fail within the first two years due to various reasons. The most common is ignorance.
I prefer an honest and direct approach with all my clients because when they make money I make money. I truly enjoy seeing them flourish because I handpick them from the beginning. On rare occasions I get to collaborate with stubborn individuals because I misread their intentions. That's when I part ways even if I lose money on the short term. This has always paid off handsomely on the long run.
It sadness me to see good ideas go to waste but I don't make the habit of imposing my good on my partners. Only in retrospect I got to see why a relationship had failed. It's always to make way for something better and more aligned with my ethos and vision. Learning never stops because stupidity is like an ocean and wisdom is like a river.
