That's why the proposal is there. If you like the content you get from an account, you better put up or the account won't be there for much longer. If you don't like, or don't think it is worth, you can let the account die.

A subscription system would probably work better. Free, but limited content. To get an idea of the quality, and the good stuff behind a zap wall 😁

The network is still relatively small and distributions of zaps are much more evenly spread than monetisation on legacy media.

I don’t think there’s a problem, things will happen organically.

The yt => mailing list => paid private content can just be mirrored in #nostr, paying monthly subscriptions for access to content can be automated and remove any friction of multiple steps and forms and logins to sign up. But, I haven't seen *any* content creators on #nostr and to be honest I'm getting really bored.
