1. Don't paste your nsec in any client, use nostrr connect web extension or Amber.
2. Use nip5 address with your domain (don't use any nip5 provider)
3. Run your personal reley or backup your notes every month using metadata.nostr.com
4. Don't send much media, unless you have your own mediaserver, because you don't want your profile be useless after 10 years when the current mediaseservers is gone.
FYI: Nostr relays don't store, send and receive media, so they are very lightweight, they only send and receive json events (read nip-1)

Few things you should know:
1. get a check mark in #Nostr, there are few options, I suggest nostrcheck.me, once you get it, edit your profile and update your Nostr-Address, not having it will hide you in some clients
2. follow hashtags, a good way to find like minded people
3. think of your nsec as your Bitcoin private keys, act accordingly
4. chose a client that respect your privacy, meaning, you can sign in with a Signer protecting your nsec, it has TOR built in and above all, you can manage the relays you use. 2. The impatient with no time looking for the most complete web based non custodial web wallet:
