that's exactly what grates my nerves so much listening to the children playing here, across the river in the primary school, most especially the girls squealing because that sound is given to the female of the species in order to serve as an alarm, and these little girls are essentially yelling fire in a theatre constantly, and my instinct says danger, but then i rationally know there is no danger, and then all i hear is a spoiled child demanding attention without giving respect.
