This needs to be addressed.
It’s disheartening to witness the growing number of foreigners coming to Costa Rica, not to integrate with our communities or honor our land, but to buy up beaches and rivers, often with little understanding or respect for the ecosystems and traditions that define this country.

Too many come, cut down our jungles, and build oversized homes completely out of sync with the natural environment.

Homes they often don’t even live in. This pattern is unsustainable, and it’s eroding the identity, ecology, and accessibility of Costa Rica for future generations.

I truly hope the government takes stronger measures to protect our land and reconsider the ease with which property can be sold to foreign investors. Costa Rica is not just a playground for outsiders, it’s a living, breathing country with deep roots, and it deserves better stewardship

Come and enjoy the jungle, respect it, honored it and please stop the unnecessary building and even more stop the cutting of the trees.
