Last week was #developers ranting week. I want to take a moment to rant as a user 🤣

IMO, donations/contribution to developers should not go to exploration and experimentation. Sorry that should be on you. I don’t know what you are thinking about or what crazy idea you want to build. I don’t know if I care about it yet.

Anything the users share, should mostly (maybe 90%) go for improving current experiences, fixing bugs, or directly paying for a service.

I know that 90% of nothing is nothing. But how about using that nothing to enable small enhancements like uploading multiple photos at once Or fixing text fields crashing and making the curser jump all over the place. Making the current experience 99% perfect, kill user frustration.

We need to keep a healthy balance between exploration and exploitation. Focus on retaining users not attracting more.
