Wow, that's scary stuff for sure! I've been into security and privacy for years so I've been fortunate to never have been Sim Swapped. One way is never give your phone number out - use a secondary line like Google Voice or JMP.CHAT and only ever give your secondary numbers out. Another method is using a prepaid eSim - no name on the account, often no number, and you use a secondary number like above.

I did fall for a phishing email from Blockstream recently. I should have seen it was fake but for some reason my judgment lapsed and I clicked the link. Luckily my DNS Filters (next dns) caught it and blocked the page from loading. That's when I realized I was a dumbass for clicking lol.
