Actively deciding what NOT to pay attention to is a superpower.

Even more so when many of those things are actually things you're genuinely interested in and have the ability to materially help.

I give myself a B-, at best. Who do you know who is phenomenal at this?

The super wealthy are phenomenal at not paying attention to the poor or anything they don’t want to see, really. This is why we need government to enforce a fair distribution of resources and discourage hyperelitism.
