Linux: Slackware

BSD: OpenBSD

BSD?

It’s a less popular cousin of Linux.

interesting, and why?

OpenBSD because it’s sane and secure by default. Doesn’t allow binary blob hw drivers. Has a small dev team and small code base. It’s pioneered some of the best tools used every where today, openssh for one.

nice to know, will check it out. I'm assuming its use case specific and not general purpose OS?

I’d be using devuan if I couldn’t slack anymore
