I'll follow back one person, who seems totally normal, and then BOOM! three dickpics, 2 spammers in my DMs, and four creep-ons within a week.

That's the wild internet... and nostr is as free as it gets, but mostly friendly so far...
I've never got a dickpick, so don't know how it feels, but would probably write that I'm not impressed and there are better ways if he's looking for a connection.
I just mute and report because I don't want to see it and I don't want to ever talk to someone who would think flashing people is appropriate behavior.
I think men don't usually tend to send other men dickpicks, by the way.
I think my being female and not hideously unnattractive might be increasing my personal perv-to-gentleman ratio.
How do you see that? What client do you use?
I often find I am following accounts I unfollowed or am not following accounts I followed.
I usually use Amethyst and have the wine filter and that helps keep the ick away, but I followed a bunch of people back this week and... ugh.
This week has been terrible. Almost as bad as my first week on Nostr, before I figured out relay management.
