Ideally nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z could have some way to NOTIFY without it nagging every time, but them still being able to see it in the relay list if they ignore it :)

Currently it's basically impossible to know if the user ever saw it or if their client doesn't support it

You can send a DM to the user if you want. The notify only shows once every restart. You might only want to send it once a day or something.

Will do that instead, using NOTIFY for other notifications like near-expiry.

It would be great if there could be an action button though that could be custom, such as to disable notifications.

The client could send a NOTIFY-ACK.

I don't think there is a need for it. You can send NOTIFY anytime you want. You can hold back if users are complaining or be as aggressive as you want. It's really up to you.

If you reuse the same invoice and the message is the same, Amethyst will only show it once. Otherwise it will show everytime you send it.

Also, keep in mind that folks here are complaining mostly because they used the default relay set from an old amethyst. They never agreed to pay in the first place. The popup does a lot better when the user has chosen to use your product by themselves.
