If you’re gardening in a hot climate, I cannot recommend this cucumber enough. Silver Slicer can be picked young for pickling or allowed to grow large as a salad slicer. White skin, prolific and doesn’t get even a tad tough or bitter with our 90+ daily highs in SC.

4 plants will give me enough to can a years worth of pickles and relish. 👏👏

Nicely done. Do you save your seeds?

Ive often wondered what a NOSTR seed swap would look like.

Sats4seeds please?

Maybe seeds get sent to one person then they mix them and send them back out to everyone that contributed. A big mistery mix seems like it would be fun.

Ive grown salt and pepper and boothby blonde which are not particularly heavy yielders for me, but flavourwise they are the best. I would assume silver slicer is possibly derived these varieties or the other way around

Does well in cool climates as well. I grow it every year in western Washington.
