I really like how JFK handled tension with Khrushchev without appearing confrontational in '61. This led to private talks in '62 to resolve the Cuban Missile Crisis and initiate global peace efforts between the U.S. and the Soviet Union. Sadly, JFK died in '63, and Khrushchev was ousted in '64.
