It’s not that they are ignorant. It’s precisely because they know what bitcoin is that they want to avoid it. Christine Lagarde already said it a couple years ago: “Bitcoin it’s an escape hatch, and we can’t allow people to use it.” (paraphrasing). They don’t want to surrender the control they have on everyone’s money, at the contrary. They want to make it total.
