Please explain.
I should be able to carry a blade on my person because that is a right. However, if I am found to have a blade in the UK, that action will have consequences because the action was not preceded by permission.
You absolutely have the right, just not the liberty.
I know that many people conflate liberties and rights. It's easy to do.
Rights are innate. Christians would say Rights are God given. So Rights precede the State and they persist.
States suppress Rights all the time. What remains are liberties, nevertheless Rights are reclaimable, but you may have to fight for them. (Use wisdom)
Rights should be held sacrosanct, by all and defended when necessary.
I've more to say about this, but no more time.
I'm not recommending suicidal behavior, just hoping to untangle what I think is a confusion for many.
