Damn. That makes ya feel something
This is very common - founders getting booted from their own startups. Makes ya think twice before you take that money.
It makes me appreciate how conservative the founders of my company are, as far as funding and everything is concerned
When everyone else took the Covid money, over-hired, and then laid off a bunch of people, my boss ran out business lean and cautiously, focusing on becoming sustainably profitable.
I’ve worked for a number of short-time-preference employers before, so this job/experience has been truly restorative/healing in terms of my faith in business leaders
